Autumn Fashion Essentials

During the Spring and Summer I love to wear bright colourful clothes and pastels but once it comes into Autumn I am always drawn back into neutral colours such as Brown, Cream, Tan and Black.

While they might not be the most exciting colours they can all be paired with the usual colours that are popular during the Autumn, the usual suspects being Ox-blood, Khaki, and Emerald Green. 

Like every season there are some stable pieces that come out year after year.

For me these essential pieces are:

Booties 

1. I have picked a pair with heels that can be worn both day and night. I actually own them and am loving them so far, much comfier than wearing heels especially for more casual events.

2. I love a pair for flat booties, I live in them during the Autumn and Winter season, especially in past years when going to college! again very causal but just what I like.

3/4. I live in black trousers this time of year because you can wear them with EVERYTHING!!! I picked a pair of slouchy harem style trousers which I am really liking at the moment and a pair of black skinny jeans, my favourite jeans are the Jamie line from Topshop.

Wardrobe Staples 

5. I picked this Black dress because I like the mesh detail on the top, as well as begin something that can be worn both during the day, with a pair of booties and a oversized cardigan, as well as at night with a statement necklace and a pair of heels.

6. A good denim shirt will never go out of style. Great during this time of year for layering!

Comfy Jumpers 

7/8. who doesn't love throwing on a comfy jumper and being as snug as a bug?
They can be worn with jeans, skirts, shorts, just about everything really

Scarfs

9/10. I love scarfs, every year I always pick up a few more! I generally tend to buy them in Penneys because they have a huge selection to pick from! I picked up to that are in my recent Penneys Haul linked here. I love the colours in these two in the picture below... classic Autumn colours that are back year after year.

Jackets
11. I think that tan/camel jackets are just something that every girl should have! Can be worn with so many outfits and throw in a splash of colour compared to the usual dark colours that are so popular in Autumn.

12. Parka's are so versatile in my opinion! great for running around doing errands or going to college and when the weather is still nice

13. Leather jackets are never going to go out of style. Although there are so many colourful jackets out at the moment, I think that Black is the best as it can be worn during the day with a pair of jeans and converse and at night to add some edginess to an outfit.

These pieces may not be the trendiest, but are in my opinion classic stables that can be brought back out year after year and can be added to whatever the trends are each season.
